The Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin
As a contracted Project Assistant I led documentation and preventative conservation measures for the offsite collection storage areas that were impacted by the 2017 British Columbia fires. This included documentation (photography and condition report) of 500+ items.
I assisted in the exhibit based on the 2017 fires titled "Cariboo Strong" by conserving items from the collection for the exhibit and assisting in set up. Other projects I was able to achieve were small workshops with staff on topics such as object handling, cleaning methods, and box making.

Notably on this contract I was able to develop a deaccessioning policy, forms, and facilitate deaccessioning meetings. I learned a number of important things for the process and am happy to share some of the forms I worked on. Alter them as you need and feel free to ask any questions!
